Empereal was awarded the contract to design, fabricate and setup a white colored solar PV system to cover the wings of the falcon shaped UAE Pavilion designed by Santiago Calatrava. A specially designed steel frame preserves the shape of each of the feathers of the wings allowing the solar panels to be cold-formed to ensure the optimal fit for the complex curved feather designs. The solar PV generation is designed to assist the building to achieve its LEED certification.
