Empereal was selected by MASDAR after a competitive bidding phase to setup a combination of Solar PV fixed tilt systems as well as Single Axis tracker systems in order to carry out research into Solar PV cleaning methods. Empereal’s design involved structures which were customized to suit the Double Glass Solar PV modules from Canadian Solar used for this project.
The module cabling involved setting up measurement points and the ability to include instrumentation and measurement systems to facilitate the research. Single Axis trackers from PVH were used for this project with automatic sun tracking during the daytime.
